Parineeti Chopra was born to a Punjabi family based in Ambala in Haryana. Her father is a businessperson based in Ambala. She has two brothers and her cousin, Priyanka Chopra, is a noted actor in the Indian film industry. After her schooling in Ambala, she relocated to Manchester to pursue a triple honour degree in economics and finance business. Her dream was to become an investment banker, but ultimately, she came back to India in the year 2009, following a recession that stormed the U.K. Back in India, her established cousin, Priyanka Chopra, introduced to the Yash Raj Banner, and Parineeti was hired there as the consultant at a public relations department. Later, when she worked with the Yash Raj team for the movie Band Baja Baraat, she gained interest in acting. Soon, she made her onscreen debut with the movie Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl, which was released in the year 2010, marking her debut as a supporting actor. Soon, she signed onto movies like Ishaqzaade, which was a commercial success and brought her success under spotlight.
